General#
When and where does HUNTCON take place? HUNTCON 2027 is held on 4–5 March 2027 (Thursday and Friday) at EDENN, the Schneider Electric headquarters — 1884 Boulevard de La Défense, 92000 Nanterre, France.
Is HUNTCON free? Yes. Attendance is completely free, but registration is mandatory. Seats are limited to 100 attendees — registration will close once capacity is reached. The solution showcase also comes with no cost to exhibitors — however, they are expected to bring their own devices required for their demonstration.
Do you cover travel or accommodation costs? We welcome attendees from any country, but since the conference is entirely free, we are unable to cover travel or accommodation expenses for anyone — including speakers. All participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements.
Can I attend only one of the two days? Yes, you can attend Day 1 only, Day 2 only, or both.
How many attendees are expected? The event is designed for up to 100 participants.
How many people can register from the same company? Up to 3 participants per organization, including speakers, round table participants, and exhibitors.
Is this a recurring event? This is the first edition. We intend to organize HUNTCON every year.
Who is this conference for? Threat hunting practitioners, SOC/CSIRT team members, detection engineers, cybersecurity leaders, researchers, and anyone with a strong interest in threat hunting — whether you’re building a program, scaling one, or looking for peers to exchange with.
Language#
What language are the talks in? Presentations are a mix of English and French. English is strongly encouraged, but French talks are accepted since many attendees are French-speaking.
What about the round tables? All round tables are held in English to accommodate participants from across Europe.
Talks & Round Tables#
How long are the talks? Each talk is a 1-hour slot, including 10 minutes for Q&A.
How do the round tables work? Each round table is a 45-minute session led by an animator with prepared questions. During registration, you select the topics you’d like to contribute to. For each topic, 5 candidates are chosen from the registrants to go on stage and share insights with the audience.
Can I be both a speaker and a round table participant? Yes, these roles are cumulative.
Will talks be recorded or shared? Conference sessions may be recorded (focusing on the speaker and slides). We will communicate in advance whether recordings will be published. Presentation slides will be published on the website after the event, unless the speaker explicitly requests otherwise.
Are round table discussions recorded? No. Round tables are held under the Chatham House Rule — content shared during the discussions must not be attributed to any individual or organization. An anonymized summary of each round table will be published on the website after the event.
Venue & Logistics#
Where is HUNTCON held? At EDENN, the Schneider Electric headquarters — 1884 Boulevard de La Défense, 92000 Nanterre, France. It is a short walk from La Défense (Grande Arche) station.
Is food provided? Yes. A buffet lunch and coffee breaks are included on both days during the event. Evening dinners, however, are at the charge of each attendee.
Is there WiFi? No public WiFi will be provided at the venue, but a decent 5G connection is available on site.
Is the venue accessible for people with reduced mobility? Yes. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, including entrances, conference rooms, and restrooms.
Is there a dress code? No formal dress code. Business casual or whatever you’re comfortable in.
Should I bring a laptop? It’s not required. Day 1 is presentation-focused, and Day 2 round tables are discussion-based. Bring one if you like to take notes.
Registration & CFP#
How do I register? Use the registration form. If you are exhibiting, select the Exhibitor role when registering. You will receive a confirmation email.
How do I submit a talk? Use the Call for Papers form. Submissions must include a PDF of your presentation.
When is the CFP deadline? Submissions must be received by 1 November 2026 at midnight CET.
Who reviews the submissions? Submissions are reviewed by a panel of experienced threat hunting practitioners.
When will I know if my talk is accepted? The selection board convenes on 1 December 2026. All submitters will be notified of the outcome in the days that follow.
Photography & Privacy#
Can I take photos at the event? Yes, but you must respect the photography policy described in our Code of Conduct. “No Photo” stickers are available at the registration desk for anyone who does not wish to appear in pictures.
Will photos be published? Photos and videos may be used for internal and external communications. Individuals wearing “No Photo” stickers will be excluded from any published material.
