Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal data HUNTCON collects through this website, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Sébastien Damaye, organizer of HUNTCON, 160 avenue des Martyrs, 38000 Grenoble, France.

What data we collect
#

FormData collected
Call for PapersCompany, first and last name and email of the primary speaker and (optionally) of a secondary speaker, talk format, presentation title, description and uploaded PDF, and a record of your consent (date, time and version of this notice)
RegistrationFirst and last name, email, company, role(s) at the event and round table topics of interest, and a record of your consent
ContactFirst and last name, email, subject and message, and a record of your consent

We only collect what you enter in these forms. We do not buy or receive your data from third parties.


Why we use your data

We will not use your data for any other purpose, and we never sell it.

We do not publish photos or biographies of speakers unless they explicitly provide them for that purpose. Talks are not recorded or streamed. Photography during the event is covered by our Code of Conduct.


Who has access to your data

  • The organizer, Sébastien Damaye.
  • The speaker selection board, for Call for Papers submissions only.
  • Google, which provides the online storage used for the forms (Google Sheets, Google Drive and Gmail).
  • Website visitors, for the information published about accepted speakers only.

Your data is not shared with sponsors, partners, exhibitors or any other third party.


Where your data is stored
#

Form submissions are stored in a Google account (Google Sheets, Google Drive and Gmail) used by the organizer. Google may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognizes as providing an adequate level of protection.


How long we keep your data

Your rights
#

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your data;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. Withdrawing consent for a Call for Papers submission withdraws the submission;
  • object to or restrict some processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise these rights, email sebastien.damaye@se.com. We will answer within one month.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).


Analytics and cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.


Changes to this notice
#

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and its version number. The version you agreed to is recorded with your Call for Papers submission.
